Brisbane, Perth to get A380s
Aircraft manufacturer Airbus says Brisbane and Perth are set to become key markets for its A380s, The Australian reports.
According to the newspaper, Airbus' A380 director of product marketing Richard Carcaillet said long-haul traffic for the cities is expected to grow.
As airport infrastructure growth lags traffic growth, the large double-decker aircraft can help ease congestion, Mr Carcaillet said.
Locally, the planes already fly to Sydney and Melbourne, while Emirates plans an A380 service to Brisbane, The Australian reports.
