Import Containers – Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB)

Dear valued customer,

As all of you will be aware, the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR) last year initiated procedures to combat the potential arrival of the BMSB into Australia. This previously affected imported freight from 9 countries. For the 19/20 BMSB season, this has risen to a staggering 32 countries.

In an effort to assist industry and avoid delivery delays, our subcontractors have also added a fumigation pad at our Sims Street depot which is less than 1km from the terminal. This depot will be able to receive containers 24 hours a day. We also increased our capacity last year at our Tottenham depot to fumigate up to 40 containers at a time:

• Receiving containers 24hrs a day

• Can accept A Doubles and Super B Doubles

• Same day or Next day fumigation

• 100 + TEU fumigations per day
